At Fuquay-Varina Elementary School , teachers plan collaboratively with the media coordinator to bring their students into the media center for individual and group research, production of multimedia presentations, Internet lessons, or media lessons as needed. In this way, we hope to integrate information and computer skills with skills being taught at the same time in the classrooms.
Students may come to the media center each day for independent check out. If a book is lost or damaged, it is the student's responsibility to pay for it before checking out more books. Parents may also check out books for their children as needed.
The Accelerated Reader list can be found this year at the Fuquay-Varina Public Library. Also, we have added a link from this page for parents to access this list from home.
This year, our media center will also be available for parents and students to use after school. Mrs. Hornaday, Mrs. DiBona, and Mrs. Kinton are committed to making the media center accessible to all! Visitors (and volunteers) are always welcome! |
